Clinic staff to volunteer at four-day “Welcoming the Stranger” fundraiser helping thousands of Rochester-area refugees
Rochester Clinical Research (RCR) proudly announces its collaboration with Saints’ Place in organizing a remarkable Super Sale event aimed at benefiting area refugees, including hundreds of Ukranians displaced by war. As part of their ongoing commitment to the Rochester community and fostering goodwill, RCR has volunteered to contribute to this important fundraising event. More details about the Super Sale.
“Many refugees arrive in Rochester with little more than the clothes on their back,” said Louisa Grizard Khalil, Vice President of Business Operations at RCR. “Saints’ Place,” she said, “ truly changes the trajectory of the lives of these refugees, and we are so grateful to be part of such a meaningful change.”
The annual Super Sale, scheduled to take place from July 5-8th, will demonstrate RCR’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of those who have sought refuge in the greater Rochester area. By volunteering for the Super Sale, RCR aims to strengthen ties with the community and demonstrate their genuine care and support for individuals who have not only immigrated, but fled their countries due to various hardships.
RCR and Saint’s Place have joined forces to ensure that the super sale is a resounding success, providing a valuable opportunity for the local community to come together, shop, and contribute to a cause that touches the lives of area refugees. The RCR staff has donated numerous items to be sold, in addition to breaking into teams to help set-up and work during the sales as cashiers, runners and security.
The event promises to offer great deals on purses, jewelry, dishes, glassware, small kitchen appliances, furniture, linens, electronics, books, toys, sporting goods, bikes, clothing, and collectible items; all which have been donated by the Rochester community. All of the money raised will go towards the purchasing of new beds, mattresses, winter clothing, boots, and other necessities for the refugees.
